Last Sunday, November 6, at the facilities of the UPV sports hall, the 1st UPV A-ball Cup was held. The Polytechnic University of Valencia, in its continuous work in support of sport and especially adapted and inclusive sports, has wanted to hold a tournament that promotes the discipline of A-ball, a new discipline of adapted football that brings together more practitioners every day. and clubs in our community.
It is the intention, as is done in other sports disciplines of our university, to present the discipline of A-ball to the rest of the university family as a new sport that they can incorporate into their Sports Area and thus participate in the next editions of the A-Cup. ball UPV.
In this first edition, the clubs of the Valencia CF Players Association and the Vila Sport de Villarreal club have been invited. A triangle that has aroused great expectation among the players and the public, who in an unexpected but pleasant attendance gathered at our university facilities.
The winner of this 1st A-ball UPV Cup was the Valencia CF Association team that, after first beating Club UPV LENNOX and later Vila Sport de Villarreal, won a trophy that was highly disputed by the three participants.
The stage was also the venue for the presentation of the new sponsor of the UPV Club. The LENNOX company will be one of our main sponsors and companions in this fascinating, sporting, inclusive and social journey that we lead from the Sports Area of the UPV.
Sporting and social success of the event that we want to consolidate in future UPV A-ball Cups to once again be a benchmark for our university sports community.
